On October 23rd, on the margins of the Russia-Africa summit, a session of EAEU - Africa was held: trends and prospects for the development of integration processes and cooperation, moderated by Ms. Nataliya Zaiser, Chair of the Board of the African Business Initiative UNION.
In recent decades, the processes of economic integration have become a mega-trend in the development of regions of the world, helping their member States to integrate successfully into the global economy and minimize the risks of crisis phenomena in different sectors of the economy. Economic integration allows the opportunity for a fresh look at the implementation of important projects in the areas of infrastructure, logistics, energy, trade, the development of the agro-industrial and industrial sectors of the economy, digitalization, migration policy, and the employment of citizens. It offers additional opportunities for building common approaches to environmental issues, renewable energy sources, as well as other aspects that determine scientific and technological progress. Given the wide range of competencies of regional groupings, it is quite logical that there should be a dialogue among them to share best integration practices, which should optimize economic integration processes and promote cooperation on a wide range of issues.
How are regional economic integration processes developing in Eurasia and Africa? Which areas have the greatest potential for mutually beneficial cooperation between regional integration structures? How does integration affect the architecture of the global economy? What are the benefits of economic integration for business in Eurasia and Africa?
